“Episcopal H.S. (in the Houston comminuty of Bellaire) bases it's education on 4 'pillars' - academics, religion, arts and athletics - allowing students to receive a broad background. They offer at least 2 ability levels in most subjects including AP classes. The arts program is one of the best and includes choral and instrumental, dance, theater and cosutme design. A unique and important aspect is their emphasis on Students Of Service (or SOS) that conducts some 200 student-led service projects through the year giving the students training in helping others. Competition with other private schools in adjacent states (OK, LA, NM) is in the SPC and ISAS. Sports include Football, baseball, softball, field hockey, lacross, volleyball among others. The parents support the school by the Parents Association and the Dad's club by service snacks at games, coordinating fund raisers - golf tounrnament and major school-wide auction, and assisting in chapel.”
