Briargrove Elementary School Reviews

My son went to Briargrove for first grade. Mrs. Hadcock was the best teacher. She deserves teacher of the year. The entire staff is wonderful and the school facility is new and beautiful. I highly recommend this school to anyone.

Our son started at Briargrove in December of 2008. His teacher was outstanding, the administration is excellent as well. The school building and grounds are very well kept and the parent involvement is high. We are so thrilled to be able to have our son attend Briargrove.

I have a little girl attending Kindergarten there. She has a great teacher and there is a great atmosphere there. There is lot's of involvement from parents and PTO. You can really tell everyone cares about the children.

Briargrove once had a wonderful reputation. But it has really changed to not be that great. Communication is very difficult.

Briargrove is the perfect school for my son. Briargrove is a really big school, but my son still manage to get one 0n one attention with his teacher. Last year my son attended another elementary, I feel as if it was a big mistake and a waste of time. At Briargrove it is excellent!

Briargrove Elementary, hasn't challenged my children enough. The academic programs have great content, but there seems to be little expectation from the students. The music program at Briargrove is wonderful, and students learn a variety of musical instruments and styles. There is an abundance of after school programs. On any given day the patio outside the cafeteria is full of parents who come to have lunch with their children, and the PTO is outstanding at raising funds to underwrite programs for the students.

Briargrove Elementary is the best public school in the Houston area. The teachers work like dogs to ensure that the kids are learning and happy in their environment. There is tons of parent involvement and a 'community feel'. Ann Sledge, the principal, is an excellent leader. I would feel extremely safe and lucky to send my child to this school.

Briargrove Elementary is almost like a private school! The teachers work so hard to make sure the kids get a quality education. Not only are they sure to get a quality education here, but there are all sorts of fun programs throughout the year - a very family oriented, student centered, neighborhood school.

My child is in Kindergarten or shall I say finishing Kinder. She has enjoyed every bit of it. The teachers really care about your children. I feel confident that her education has grown. I would definitely recommend Briargrove Elementary to any parent. It is the best school I have yet to see.

My son is in first grade and he absolutely loves school. I am sure it is due to both his teacher and the overall structure of his day - well organized with interesting material to learn and plenty of breaks.

My daughter is in kindergarten this year. She loves this school and so do we, she has learnt a lot, the teachers and the principal are very nice to the students, they introduced TRIBES agreements, which I feel is a must for every kid. My kid refers to those agreements everyday after she comes from school. There is a lot of positive approach in my kid. I am proud of my kid and the school and staff.

My son is in the First Grade Sights program at Briargrove. After 9 months, he went from reading Hop on Pop to 5th Grade Level reading. I don't think that a private school could have offered more, except a lot of expense! The teachers and administrative staff are fantastic and the school encourages and rewards each student's individual success.
